The MXR EP103 Echoplex Delay revives the legendary sound of the classic Echoplex EP-3 tape echo, delivering the signature warm and organic delay tone that shaped countless recordings from the 1970s to the present day. Designed for guitarists seeking vintage character with modern reliability, the EP103 offers rich repeats, natural modulation feel, and a hi-fi analog dry path for exceptional signal clarity. The Delay, Sustain, and Volume controls provide fast and intuitive adjustment of delay time, repeat intensity, and output level. One of the pedal’s standout features is the Age mode, which recreates the natural wear and character of a vintage tape echo unit by adding darker tone, tape saturation, and increased modulation. The pedal also supports Tap Tempo functionality (with an optional external switch), offering up to 4 seconds of delay time. Stereo input/output support and selectable true bypass or trails bypass modes provide additional flexibility for modern pedalboard setups.
